This tutorial is detailed as best I can to help you get into the chatroom easier. Remember: on setting up the CMnF script, take the instructions one step at a time.
First, there are different ways you can get into the chat room. One way is to use an internet browser, such as Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari, Slepnir, Maxathon, Konqueror, Epiphany, etc. To do that, simply click on this.
Another way is with the ABlaze script. It is the 2nd easiest way to come in. The setup is relatively easy. First, download the script from here. When it asks for the default rooms to join when you're answering the setup questions, add #AChurchChat.
Many in the room use the CMnF script. This has more bells and whistles, and makes the chat most enjoyable. Again, I repeat...be SURE to follow these directions one step at a time.
First, download the script here at Salvationscorner. (Note: this link has changed, so I have it updated now.) If that link does not work, come to chat with the chat link on the home page, and talk to RLG. I will help you with that.
Most use the regular CMnF, and NOT the Invision CMnF. After you have downloaded it, you double click on it to install it, of course. Let it install to the default directory.
Now, open up the script after installation. Note: you will have to click on the button on the bottom of it when you open it up to make it show, and then maximize it.
Underneath the word "File" at the top, click on the disconnect button. It will say disconnect if you hold your mouse over it a couple of seconds.
Then click on "Tools" at the top. A submenu will drop down. You will need to select "options" from it. A new, smaller window will appear then.
Expand each of the things out in the left hand pane. When clicked on, they will expand into more selections of the menu.
Now, in the left hand pane of that new window, click on the word "Connect." Then, on the right hand side of that window, fill in the username you want to use. For the email address, type in %logo. Then, for nickname, retype the username in that block as well.
Now, click on the word "servers." Delete ALL the other servers, one at a time. Then you will need to add a server to this, so click on the add button. For description, type in aBlazeNet. For irc server, type in: irc.ablazenet.com and don't worry about doing the port settings. Leave them to the default. Also, leave the group blank.
Now, go on down to "Options." Click on the perform button on the right hand side. Make sure that "enable perform on connect" is checked. In the pane below that, type in /join #AChurchChat. Notice that / is before join and then a space, then the # needs to be before #AChurchChat. If you have registered your nickname on the network, press enter while in that window, and type /identify password. Replace the word password with your password. Click ok on that, then click ok again. This should close out your extra windows.
Now, go back to the menu at the top, and click on "Favorites." Select "Organize Favorites" or "Manage Favorites" from that menu. It should be one or the other. You want to delete all the favorites from this. Then click on ok to close that out.
Now, go back to the top menu again, and click on "Christian Music and Fellowship." From that menu that drops down, click on "Channel Protection Setup." Uncheck all the boxes possible there. Click "Finished" on the bottom left hand side.
Return to the top menu, and click on "View" at the top. Select "colors" from that menu. Click on each type of text, and select the color you want. If you click on the background, you can change the background color as well.
You now have finished setting the script up. Simply click on the "Connect" button just below the word "File" at the top. Note: each time you open the script up to chat, be sure to click on the gray button that says "aBlazeNet" at the bottom, then maximize your windows.
